Parent Education & Resources

Parent/caregiver involvement and education is a strong component in the successful outcomes of your child’s listening and spoken language development. In addition to consultations during therapy sessions and audiology appointments, Central Speech and Hearing Clinic offers parents the opportunity to attend presentations by our therapists, audiologists, or invited speakers. Some topics may include Auditory-Verbal Therapy, strategies and techniques for listening and spoken language development, parent advocacy, behaviour management, cochlear implants and hearing technology, etc. Please contact us if you are interested in finding out more information about these education opportunities.

Parents are invited to borrow books and journals from our in-house parent library which has been generously funded by the Elks.
