Bone Anchored Implants

A bone anchored implant (BAI) is a type of hearing aid that uses direct bone conduction. It is primarily suited to people who have conductive hearing losses, unilateral hearing loss and people with mixed hearing losses who cannot otherwise wear conventional hearing aids. Central Speech and Hearing Clinic provides evaluation, fitting and (re)habilitation for BAI candidates and recipients. Surgeries are performed at the Winnipeg Health Sciences Centre.
